OOne of the great things about working at Burning Chair is that we get to meet lots of talented and interesting people.
In this week’s podcast we bring you an interview with one of those supremely talented people.
After a successful career in the publishing industry, Simon Bewick now focuses on being an author, prolific blogger and provider of training and support to other writers. We were fortunate enough to include one of Simon’s short stories in our recent collection, Burning: An Anthology of Short Thrillers.
Simon creates dark thrillers (and some horror) with a twist, and his story in the anthology, The Five Votive Candles of Joe Wray, is well worth a read. It’s a gripping tale of brotherly love gone wrong and is one of the best we’ve read. And if you love that, then you should definitely check out Simon’s own amazing books: Basement Tales and You Could Make a Killing.
Click below to see our interview with Simon in which we learnt:

- How to warm up to a writing session – and generate valuable content at the same time;
- That it’s not possible to sneakily pour a glass of wine on camera without getting caught out…
